Amy is a Chancellor’s Fellow in Health, through Arts, Design and Humanities in the School of Health in Social Science. She previously was a Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Lincoln and a Research Fellow in the Centre for Population Health Science/CRFR at the University of Edinburgh.
Amy’s research has focused on self-harm, suicide, and parental drug use. She uses qualitative, ethnographic, creative and arts-based methods and has a particular interest in bodies and embodiment in relation to health and healthcare.
